Munich, June 2024: Edeltraud Leibrock, Partner in Roland Berger’s Digital platform, will be appointed to the Global Board of Managing Directors. In her new role from August 1st, she will have global responsibility for Innovation. Edeltraud Leibrock succeeds Hasmeet Kaur, who is switching to the automotive industry and takes on the position as President Division Transportation at the globally leading filter specialist Mann+Hummel starting in August.

Stefan Schaible, Global Managing Partner, says: “We are delighted to welcome Edeltraud Leibrock, a recognized expert in the fields of innovation, digitalization and artificial intelligence, as a new member of the Board of Managing Directors. She has a proven track record of turning new technologies into competitive advantages and supported numerous organizations along this path. Edeltraud is therefore exactly the right person for us to drive these important future topics at Roland Berger.”

Edeltraud Leibrock joined Roland Berger’s Digital platform in February 2024 as Partner. She has many years of experience in international strategy consulting and has held senior positions in the banking sector. She advises clients in the strategic areas of technology, innovation, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and related transformation processes.

She holds degrees in physics and biology from the University of Regensburg and a doctorate in physics from the Technical University of Hamburg in cooperation with the former Fraunhofer IFU in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

She is also involved in the Fraunhofer Alumni e.V., in the Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC e.V.), the Fraunhofer Technology Transfer Fund, and various boards.

Marcus Berret, Global Managing Director, says: “On behalf of the entire Board, I would like to thank Hasmeet Kaur for her tremendous contribution to our company. While we regret her to switch to the industry, we are proud of her impressive career, which reflects the industry expertise and entrepreneurial ability of our talents. She embodies the success stories that we have to tell at Roland Berger. We wish her all the best and continued success in her future endeavors.”

Hasmeet Kaur started her career at Roland Berger in 2013 in India and has since contributed significantly to the development of the business in the automotive aftermarket and supply industry segments. Following her election as Partner in January 2022, she was appointed to the Board of Managing Directors in early 2023. In recent months, she has been instrumental in driving forward the company’s offering in the field of artificial intelligence and corresponding solutions. Hasmeet Kaur has now decided to take on a new professional challenge in the automotive industry at Mann+Hummel.

The management and governance structures at Roland Berger remain unchanged. The Global Board of Managing Directors will continue to consist of seven members: Three members are elected by the global partnership, namely Stefan Schaible, Marcus Berret and Denis Depoux. They in turn appoint four other partners. In addition to Maria Mikhaylenko, Per Breuer and Matthias Rückriegel, Edeltraud Leibrock will be appointed to the Global Board.
